Updated October 23, 2026: Web’in Mauritius now has its own website and members area.
Web’In Mauritius is a network of French-speaking entrepreneurs, created in 2019 by Florent Fouque.
The goal: to organise informal meetups to exchange ideas about web businesses and related topics — tax, tools, financial structures, digital strategy…
The group brings together three types of profiles:
The group now has its official website: webinmauritius.com.
In short: if you have a connection to the web, near or far, you have your place here. Group membership is free; only the meetups are paid, to cover their organisation (€50 per evening, €70 for two).
Meetups take place roughly once every 2 months, in the north of the island — at restaurant Kalatua.
Each evening unfolds in three stages:
Participation: €50 per evening (€70 for two). Dinner is optional, priced separately, and settled directly at the restaurant.
Since 2019, more than 25 meetups have been organised. Here are some examples of topics covered over the years:

Between meetups, conversations continue on a WhatsApp group with more than 280 active members. Mauritius tax, digital tools, financial structures, banking recommendations, contact sharing… It’s dense, useful and often invaluable — especially when you first arrive on the island and have a thousand practical questions. The group’s most useful answers are now also gathered on the website, in the members area.
Since October 2026, the group brings together on a dedicated website what was previously scattered: the charter, the member list, the co-optation form, and the answers to the most frequently asked questions in the group.
In the members area, you’ll find:
The area is reserved for members. First login is done via the WhatsApp number used in the group. Find the group at webinmauritius.com.
The group works by co-optation: there is no open registration. Each member has their own personal co-optation link, which they send to an entrepreneur they want to bring in. That person fills in their application and accepts the charter online; the member can then track their status.
To join, you must be a web entrepreneur, have an active website, and be a resident of Mauritius. To find out more: webinmauritius.com.
