Whether you’re just passing through on vacation or you live in Mauritius, well, it’s a dream that can come true here in Mauritius.
I had this extraordinary experience on the beach at Flic en Flac. I swam with my mount, we trotted along with a view of Le Morne on the horizon.
Having never been a horseback rider in my life, I always wondered if it wasn’t something out of my reach, that I’d have to take a few lessons before being able to do this kind of activity on horseback.
My husband and I went through Sea Horse Adventure, with Olivier François to be precise. More info below.
It was a couple’s experience offered by my dear husband for my birthday.
Olivier and his colleague and the 2 horses were waiting for us on the beach.
Olivier made sure that we were comfortable with our mounts and that we were comfortable on our respective steeds.
As well as guiding and accompanying us, he was also our official photographer, immortalizing the moment with my cell phone.
Guide, photographer Olivier was also our sports coach. We had to do a number of exercises to improve our balance and thus our complicity with the horses. This made it easier for us to get into the water with the horses, without saddles.
Thanks to his advice, we spent some unique moments where I was able to lie down on Summertime and even stand up (who would have thought).
The 2 of us climbed on Prince, who was kind enough to let us do a little couple photo session. A good idea if you’re getting married, for example.
In short, it was a magical moment. I still have stars in my eyes and can cross this line off my bucket list.
I recommend that you go through Olivier, who will make sure you have an unforgettable time.
Beware of aches and pains the next day.
Recommendations
I recommend that you put on sun cream just beforehand, and wear a swimsuit under your outfit. Afterwards, bring a towel, a change of clothes and flip-flops.
